Church of Resurrection Essentials (Hospitality & Missions)
CORE (Church Of Resurrection Essentials) is responsible for planning events and providing hospitality for the congregation as well as seeking out missions within the community.
The committee is responsible for coordinating many parish activities such as:

-
Coordinating Sunday morning coffee hour and Wednesday night fellowship dinners.
-
Coordinating our clothing shed.
-
With the help of the men of the parish, we ate pancakes together for Shrove Tuesday (the day before the start of Len) in March.
-
Also in March, we enjoyed corned beef and cabbage on St. Patrick’s Day.
-
Easter fell in April and we had a wonderful Brunch between our Easter Vigil Easter morning service.
-
The men of the parish helped to make a wonderful Mother’s Day brunch in May.
-
Cinco de Mayo was the time for a wonderful fundraiser celebration.
-
June brought the Father’s Day picnic and we celebrated the Sunday school year.
-
We had a grand time at the Luau in August and were thrilled to have the Steel Passion drum band back. Again, many guests from outside the parish joined in the fun.
-
Parishioners donated backpacks and school supplies for children in need.
-
September brought Resurrection’s annual tag sale which was a great success thanks to the help of many volunteers.
-
In November, we provide Thanksgiving Baskets with our ecumenical neighbors.
-
In December we gathered in the undercroft on the first Sunday in Advent to make our annual Advent wreaths. Before Christmas, the congregation joined in the greening of the church.
-
In December, we also hosted a St. Nicholas Brunch for children we work with and who enjoyed food, fellowship, and a visit from St. Nick with their families.
