Mission and Outreach
Matthew 25:44-45 - ‘Lord, when was it that we saw you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not take care of you?’ Then he will answer them, ‘Truly I tell you, just as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me.’
Mission and Outreach at Resurrection are a biblical responsibility which we address through a hands-on approach. From our Sunday Greeters who welcome everyone into the church for the service to fellowship hour after the service and continuing out into our community as we go to "love and serve the Lord."

On a weekly basis, we collect food for the food pantry and other goods requested by organizations such as Love INC.

For Thanksgiving, we team with the Poughkeepsie United Methodist Church to collect dinners to add to their Thanksgiving meal distribution

We hold an annual backpack drive for Special Needs Parenting Program from Dutchess County Agency for the Prevention of Child Abuse

Our annual St. Nicholas brunch for the Special Needs Parenting Program from Dutchess County Agency for the Prevention of Child Abuse provides a wonderful breakfast and visit from St. Nicholas with gifts for children.

Our members participate in the "Crop Walk" in Poughkeepsie raising money for World Hunger.

In support of World Vision, our parish sponsor's children.
